Just a quick one tonight to fill the 30 minute window between the kettle boiling and the bottles needing to be made. I've written before about Olivia's quite frightening devotion towards the TV, but recently this has reached scary new heights. No longer is she content with merely coveting the remote control - and she saw through our ruse of fobbing her off with a dummy remote within about 10 seconds when she realised it wasn't capable of pausing the Tellytubbies mid-flow - she now chooses to express her love for the cathode ray tube by pressing her face to the screen and actually licking it.

At this point I'd like to distance myself from claims that she might have caught this habit from her father. I'm very careful about the fact that I only lick the screen when the living room is empty, generally first thing in the morning if Kate Silverton is looking particulary delectable. And seeing as Russell Brand has been unusally absent from our screens of late, it's unlikely that she picked up the habit from Cath.

No, it seems this is all Olivia's own doing, and the picture above shows her in hiding as we look for the culprit behind the latest set of gooey smears on the TV screen. (And Howard, if you're reading, yes I do close the curtains these days).
