Badly Drawn Bugs!
Don't call this a comeback! Or, alternatively do. Apologies to our loyal army of readers who have no doubt been crestfallen every time they've visited the blog in recent weeks, only to realise that he still hasn't got round to updating it. The demands of a new job, and in particular the need to maintain the illusion that I'm a diligent and conscientious sort, have meant that free time to dabble online has been scarcer than a win at the Reebok. Allow me therefore to race over what has been an unusually fraught and frantic few weeks since I last checked in.
First up, we have the saga of Olivia's tummy bug. This manifested itself in two weeks of explosive nappies, but thankfully, for Olivia at least, no other outward signs of ill health. The same could not be said for anyone who had the misfortune to come into contact with one of those noxious nappies. Mummy, Daddy, Grandma and Auntie Helen were all stricken with the most virulent and ferocious of bugs, rendering one and all incapable of doing anything but crawl loo-wards.
For a while, Grandma was issued with a face mask and latex gloves for nappy-changing duties, and at one point there was a real possibilty that nappy-changes would have to take place in sealed tent, reminescent of the last scenes of ET. Thankfully, this receded and the sterile boiler suits were returned to the Department for Agrilculture ready for the next outbreak of Foot and Mouth.
