Sling it, baby!
Yes, here I am caught earlier today toting the fashion accessory of the moment; a small child strapped precariously to ones front. We've toyed with the idea of taking the sling out on several occasions - and have had many trial runs around the living room - but every time a mixture of nervousness and dire weather conditions conspired to rob us of our bottle. This morning however, we finally decided that our traditional last Friday of the holidays trip to Manchester would be the occasion for Olivia to bounce about on my front as we navigated a path through the city centre in the direction of M&S.
Olivia definitely seemed to enjoy the experience, spending the whole time peering avidly around, already clearly of the opinion that she was floating through the greatest city in the world. Dad likewise enjoyed it, especially all the admiring glances he was getting from members of the opposite sex, though it's possible that this wasn't just because I was looking particularly ravishing, and could well have been the Olivia effect.
And if you're wondering - if indeed you'd noticed - why the photo above is of a slightly grainier than usual quality, it's because we didn't pack the digital, and so had to resort to my phone.
