It's been a tough week for Olivia, who has been hit by a cough, a cold, and a side order of the squits for good measure. Two visits to the Doctor later she is very nearly back to full fitness, but Wednesday was particularly torrid, involving a couple of epic coughing fits, that were none too pleasant for Mum and Dad to observe. Normally we would thank the doctors for the conscientious way in which they went about treating Olivia, but, presumably out of fear of doing anything so bold as make a decision that they may be held accountable for, both balanced on the fence and refused to commit themselves to either treating her with antibiotics or letting the thing run its own course.

But just as her symptoms are subsiding, so too is our sense of smoldering rage, and normal flippant service should be resumed shortly. Thankfully Olivia refused to be totally felled by illness, and found time in her busy schedule of spluttering and filling her nappy, to hang gracefully from her play gym as she works on her pull ups.
