Why, you may well be wondering, am I free to scribble nonsense on here at 1:20 on a Tuesday afternoon when I clearly should be at work? ( And don't be deceived by the weird nocturnal timings attached to each post, that clock is well out). I'm not on the skive, or if I am it's legitimate, poorly paid skiving, as I'm taking the second of my Paternity weeks. This has allowed us chance to scurry around performing lots of important duties, perhaps themost important of which was this morning when Olivia become a member of the library!
Her first selection ofreading material was cosmopolitan in the extreme, containing a smattering of Booker nominees, some Austen, and a delightful picture book called 'Eric the Red' which sadly doesn't seem to feature the episode when he jumped into the crowd at Selhurst Park. Sadly our time in the library was curtalied due to the fact that Olivia chose that venue to wail at deafening volume. I like to think this was her outraged way of saying, 'A 10 book limit! But that means i'll have to come back this afternoon!'. I'll be sure to pass on her thoughts on the latest Zadie Smith.
