Let the blogging frenzy commence! With the Easter hols now underway and the traditional end of term lethargy finally shaken off, it's time to spout forth on all that's been going on in the Bland domicile over the last couple of weeks. Firstly, props - as I believe they say in the hood - to all who made the Christening such a fantabulous day. All our initial fears - would Olivia be in a day long nark being ripped from her normal sleep routine? Would the caterers turn up? Would Cath find anything to wear having trawled the Trafford Centre 6 times in a week? Would Daddy get away with that flowery tie and pink shirt combo? all turned out to be groundless.

Olivia was in splendid form throughout; the food was not only there, but ace; Cath looked lovely; and the tie/shirt combo was applauded the length and breadth of Farnworth. Individual thank-yous for the stunning array of gifts are being despatched as I write, but expressions of gratitude shrivel up in the face of your generosity.

At present we have no photos of the actual do or of Olivia resplendent in her Christening gown, but as soon as we do they'll be posted here. Instead you'll have to make do with some of the balloons that we rescued from the day that are still providing much amusement for Olivia during that tricky pre-bedtime spell.
